Go! Santa! Go! Mac OS

The MCS runs on both the PC and Mac computers. Development on the PC and Mac are parallel so that no differences should be noted except perhaps very small differences in significant figures for some numerical values (far smaller than model uncertainty). These arise due to machine differences in handling floating-point operations and the vagaries of different OS. The MCS codes and documentations undergo periodic upgrades to fix minor bugs, add graphical and post-simulation codes and to make major upgrades. This page is the link to the current version for download (PC and Mac).

CSGO is available for mac 10.11, Windows XP/Vista/7, and Linux Ubuntu 12.04 and all newer versions. Is there a better alternative? No, this game offers more realism and a bigger challenge than games such as Call of Duty and has direct workshop support. Its playstyle differs from. NOTE: The latest versions of Adobe Reader do not support viewing PDF files within Firefox on Mac OS and if you are using a modern (Intel) Mac, there is no official.

MCS Downloads

Instructions immediately below refer to system requirements and peculiarities associated with Excel on the Mac. PC user may ignore. Full download of the PC version follows below. The installation instructions for the PC version are included in the downloaded content.

Included in the MCS download are all the files required to run the MCS. It is suggested that, independent of MCS, the user has access to ‘stand-alone’ MELTS although this is not a necessity to run MCS. If you wish to learn more about the MELTS suite of codes, more information may be found here: http://melts.ofm-research.org.

MAC REQUIREMENTS:

  • This document summarizes the versions of MAC OS and Excel compatible and incompatible with MCS

INSTALLATION NOTE
Mac Excel installs must not employ the optional capability of Microsoft Excel to automatically load a personal workbook as Excel opens. Typically the issue will first manifest itself when, in MCS Phase EQ, one clicks Step 2, selects an MES file and then clicks Finish. An unhelpful error screen appears - saying 'subscript out of range'.

To correct this issue. Close Excel. Use a Mac Finder window > Go > Home. Then search the Mac for a file typically called Personal.xlsb. Where this is located on the Mac varies across versions of Excel. Often this is in a folder of the following general form.

~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Excel/Data/Library/Application Support/User/Personal Macro Workbook

However since this folder is hidden by default, search is the best way of locating it.

Delete or move any files in there and then restart Excel and reopen MCS Phase EQ.

IMPORTANT: Versions of Mac Excel updated past the above versions will not work properly with the MCS code. Updated versions of Mac Excel 2019 disable certain VB functions essential to MCS processing. If your version does not work with the MCS code, please contact your technical person or downgrade your version of Mac Excel. You can find more information on how to revert to an earlier version of Mac Excel here. We also recommend disabling automatic updates of Mac Excel as this can create MCS file saving issues.

There are issues associated with MELTS batch security that impact MCS after an upgrade to MAC OS X Catalina. If you are running MAC OS Catalina then read this document to fix the issue.

PC REQUIREMENTS:

Any modern version of Excel will suffice. Follow these instructions:

  • Download the MCS_PC zip.
  • Extract it to a folder on your C: drive, under your documents tree.
  • Use Excel security to insure that folder is a trusted location (this is recommended for the more recent Excel versions).
  • Read the included Installation instructions to complete the MCS setup.

How to run MCS: PC and Mac

Preparation

In order to run the MCS, a MES file must first be created. A prototype MES file is located in the “Input & Output” folder in the MCS folder structure named “MES_AFC_R30Prototype.xlsx”. This provides the structure of the input file that is required in MCS for both Mac and PC. The MES file must begin with “MES_” always. You can make as many MES files as necessary; there are no restrictions on naming after the under slash in “MES_”. It is advised to stay away from any special characters. The prototype Input given here is for a case where 30 R+S events are allowed. In the common situation where one needs only a few, simply set all mass values beyond what is needed to zero. https://newlinezen.weebly.com/4k-video-downloader-4-0-download-free.html. Remember tosave your completed MES file inside the “Input & Output” folder.

Install Golang with Homebrew:

When installed, try to run go version to see the installed version of Go.

Setup the workspace:

Add Environment variables:

Go has a different approach of managing code, you'll need to create a single Workspace for all your Go projects. For more information consult : How to write Go Code

Nudge slot machine. First, you'll need to tell Go the location of your workspace.

We'll add some environment variables into shell config. One of does files located at your home directory bash_profile, bashrc or .zshrc (for Oh My Zsh Army)

Then add those lines to export the required variables

Create your workspace:

Create the workspace directories tree:

Hello world time!

Create a file in your $GOPATH/src, in my case hello.go Hello world program :

Run your first Go program by executing:

You'll see a sweet hello, world stdout

If you wish to compile it and move it to $GOPATH/bin, then run:

Some References and utilities:

Import a Go package:

You can create Go package, as well importing shared ones. To do so you'll need to use go get command

Go Santa Go Mac Os X

The command above should import github.com/gorilla/mux Go package into this directory $GOPATH/src/github.com/gorilla/mux

You can then use this package in your Go programs by importing it. Example:
